Is It Right For You?

Signs a Mini Split
Makes Sense

Ductless systems solve a specific problem: comfort in spaces your existing HVAC can't reach. If any of these sound familiar, it's worth a free estimate.

A Room Without Ductwork
Additions, converted garages, and older homes often have no duct run to reach a new or existing space.
Garage or Workshop Heat
A garage, workshop, or studio that turns unbearable by mid-afternoon needs its own dedicated comfort source.
Tired of Window Units
Loud, inefficient, and blocking a window — if you're replacing a unit every season, it's time for something better.
A New Addition or ADU
A casita, in-law suite, or bonus room needs standalone comfort without the cost of extending your main duct system.

Where They Shine

Built For Spaces
Ductwork Can't Reach

Mini splits aren't a replacement for central air — they're the right tool for the spaces central air was never designed to cover. In the Las Vegas valley, that shows up constantly in garages, casitas, and additions built years after the original ductwork was sized.

Garage conversions and detached casitas rarely have existing ductwork to tap into.
Room additions built after the original home often sit outside the main system's reach.
Multi-zone systems let one outdoor unit serve several indoor heads, each with its own thermostat.
How It Works

Our 5-Step
Installation Process

Every install follows the same sequence, in this order, so the system is sized right and running clean by the time we leave.

Step 1
Site Evaluation
We measure the space and calculate the right BTU capacity for the room or zone.
Step 2
Indoor Unit Mounting
The indoor air handler is mounted at the ideal height and position for even airflow.
Step 3
Line Set & Wiring
Refrigerant lines, drain, and electrical are run through a discreet wall penetration.
Step 4
Outdoor Unit Setup
The condenser is mounted on a pad or bracket in a spot chosen for airflow and noise.
Step 5
Charge & Test
The system is vacuum-tested, charged, and checked at every vent before we walk you through it.

Common Questions

Mini Split
FAQ

How long does installation take?
Most single-zone installs are completed in a single day. Multi-zone systems with more than one indoor unit may take a bit longer depending on the number of heads and line set runs.
Can one outdoor unit power more than one room?
Yes. Multi-zone systems connect a single outdoor condenser to multiple indoor heads, each with its own thermostat — a common setup for additions with more than one room.
Do mini splits provide heating too?
Most systems we install are heat pumps, meaning they heat and cool from the same unit — useful for garages and casitas that need year-round comfort.
What size unit do I need?
Sizing depends on square footage, insulation, ceiling height, and sun exposure. We calculate this during the free on-site estimate rather than guessing from square footage alone.
